![]() Friday, May 9, 2008 European Technology Firm Selects Austin For Office GreenPeak Technologies, a provider of wireless communications technology using the ZigBee wireless networking standard, said today that it has opened up a new U.S. office based in Austin. The firm, which is based in Utrecht, The Netherlands, said its sales office will better serve customers and prospects in the Americas. According to the firm, the deal is worth approximately $98M in a stock-for-stock transaction. DG FastChannel said that the deal will help the firm address the video market more effectively. El Dorado said that it has hired on Jeff Hinck as a General Partner, to specifically increase its presence in both Texas and Minnesota. Hinck will maintain offices in Dallas, in addition to Minneapolis. Hinck is the second person at El Dorado to focus on Texas investments; the firm also has venture partner Mark Floyd in Dallas.
