    NetEffect Announces HP BladeSystem Adapter
    Austin-based NetEffect, a developer of 10Gb Ethernet adapters, said Monday that it has rolled out a new, 10Gb Ethernet adapter for HP's blade computing product, HP BladeSystem. According to NetEffect its NE020BSC is a Type I, fully accelerated 10Gb Ethernet mezzanine adapter. The firm said the device provides quad-port, 1GbE support with in-field upgrades to dual-port 10Gb. The new adapter is available to customers starting at $895.

    Compiled Logic to Nab California Competitor
    Houston-based Compiled Logic, a provider of vehicle-tracking data for the law enforcement and towing industries, announced Monday that it will acquire Dispatch & Tracking Systems of Newport Beach, Calif. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. C:Logic said the move will extend its portfolio of products and services for the automated dispatching, tracking and management of vehicle towing.     Quickoffice Buys Mobile Software Firm
    Dallas-based mobile business software publisher Quickoffice Inc. announced Monday that it has acquired DynoPlex, a developer of mobile office document management applications. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. Quickoffice said the acquisition will strengthen its position as a mobile office software provider for several major platforms, including Symbian S60, UIQ, BlackBerry, Windows Mobile, iPhone and Google Android.     Mosso Rolls Out Cloud Storage Service
    San Antonio-based Rackspace said today that its cloud hosting division, MOsso, it has rolled out a new Internet-based storage offering. According to Mosso, the firm's CloudFS storage service will let developers store data on the Web, on a pay-as-you-go service. The firm will charge users $0.15 per gigabyte of data for storage, with free local transfers between the online storage service and managed hosting servers.
