![]() Friday, September 28, 2007 Wayport Powers Wi-Fi For Zipit Zipit Wireless Inc., a manufacturer of wireless communication and entertainment devices, revealed yesterday that it has agreed to a deal with Wayport that will enable Zipit users to access free Wi-Fi service from the nearly 9,000 Wayport-enabled McDonald's restaurants throughout the United States. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed. Zipit said owners of its portable instant-messaging accessories should be able to receive free access at the popular fast-food eateries by mid-November. Mirage also announced the two companies' first joint customer, San Jacinto College. Neither terms nor details of the deal were disclosed. Based in Houston, the Broadleaf Group serves clients in the oil and gas, energy, finance, manufacturing, education and health care industries.
