Navini Inks Service Agreement with India's GTL
Mobile WiMAX service provider Navini Networks announced Tuesday that it has signed a value-added services agreement with GTL Limited, India's largest network services provider. According to Navini, GTL will provide support and other services to telecom operators deploying Navini's Mobile WiMAX service to users in India, the Middle East and Asia Pacific. WiMAX, which stands for Worldwide Interoperability for Microwave Access, is a telecommunications technology that provides wireless data over long distances via point-to-point links or full mobile cellular-type connections. GTL Limited is based in Bangalore. Navini Networks, which currently operates more than 70 commercial networks on six continents, is headquartered in Richardson, Texas.
