Austin-based National Instruments the developer of tools for the scientific and engineering market, said today that it has acquired Dresden, Germany-based Signalion GmbH. Financial terms of the buy were not disclosed. National Instruments said it acquired Signalion for that firm's wireless communications talent and technology. NI will use the acquisition to bolster the capabilities of its NI LabVIEW software and PXI hardware for wireless test applications.
