Mozido Expands In China, Taiwan

Austin-based digital payment and banking software developer Mozido announced two efforts today, which help it extend its business in both China and Taiwan. In the first, Mozido said it has launched a new payment gateway platform to facilitate trade between the U.S. and China. Mozido said its Mozido PayEase Payment Gateway lets Chinese consumers pay with their local bank accounts and credit cards, which is settled with a U.S. merchant's bank account. Separately, Mozido said it has launched a new host card emulation (HCE) product, Mozido HCE, and signed up Taiwan Mobile Payments Co. (TWMP), a consortium of 27 Taiwanese banks and financial institutions, to power a mobile wallet system for TWMP that uses NFC-phones. Financial details of that second win were not announced.
