    Motive Acquisition Completes


    Alcatel-Lucent's acquisition of Austin-based Motive,Inc. has completed, Alcatel-Lucent said Tuesday. Motive, which makes remote management software for the broadband market, was acquired by Alcatel-Lucent for $67.8M in cash. The deal was originally announced in June. According to Alcatel-Lucent, Motive will become a wholly owned subsidiary of the firm. Motive's products are used for configuring residential gateways for the broadband connectivity market. Motive becomes part of Alcatel-Lucent's Fixed Access Division within its Carrier Business Group.
