Molecular Imprints Raises $12.9M in VC Funds

Molecular Imprints Inc., a developer of production equipment and technology used in the manufacture of semiconductors and hard disk drives, announced Monday that it has closed another round of venture financing. The Austin, Texas-based business said its latest effort netted some $12.9 million, which brings the company;'s strategic and VC funding to a total of $73 million. Molecular Imprints said the latest round came from Draper Fisher Jurvetson, Tokyo Electron Venture Capital, Wafra Investment Advisory Group, KT Venture Group, Alloy Ventures and Motorola Ventures. Molecular Imprints said it will use the money to finance development and commercialization of its Step and Flash Imprint Lithography technology.
