Round Rock-based Dell
said Thursday that it has expanded its support of non-dell equipment in Europe, saying it now will cover HP, IBM, Lenovo, and Acer equipment in that region. Dell--which has been offering multi-vendor support to its enterprise customers in North America, said the effort will help its customer eliminate the burden of managing varied systems, contracts, and warranties. The support comes from Dell's ProSupport group. Dell said it is eventually planning to expand the service into Asia and Latin America. The multi-vendor support moves Dell's support offering to that of traditional outsourced IT management providers.
