HomeAway Acquires Australian Firm
Austin-based online vacation rental marketplace HomeAway announced this morning that it has acquired realholidays.com.au, an Australian vacation rental site. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. HomeAway acquired the realholidays.com.au site from REA Group Limited. HomeAway said that realholidays features 21,000 listings of vacation rental properties, and that it will add that inventory to its recently launched Homeaway.com.au site. That new site will be managed by James Cassidy, formerly of realholidays.com.au.
