Mirna Therapeutics Files For IPO

Austin-based Mirna Therapeutics has filed for an IPO, saying this week that it is looking to raise up to $80.5M on the public markets. The company is aiming to trade on the NASDAQ Global Market as MIRN. The company's IPO is being underwritten by Citigroup, Leerink Partners, Oppenheimer & Co., and Cantor Fitzgerald & Co. The company's financial backers include Sofinnova Venture Partners, New Enterprise Associates, Pfizer, the State of Texas, Eastern Capital, and Baxalta. Texas owns approximately 7.10% of Mirna Therapeutics, due to an investment via the Texas Emerging Technology Fund. Mirna is developing microRNA-based oncology therapeutics, for treating cancer.
