MicroVentures Raises $300K For Facebook Investment Fund

Austin-based Microventures, the crowd-funding site run by Bill Clark, said Thursday that it has helped to raise $300,000 for a fund created to buy private shares in Facebook on the secondary market. The firm said it was able to land that $300,000 in funding from investors in five states, in less than two weeks. Microventures operates an online, peer-to-peer service to help connect investors with investment opportunities. Microventures said the Facebook investment fund was created by Bill Clark, through his venture capital management firm, MicroAngel Capital Partners.
