Macheen Wins Easter Seals
Austin-based cloud connectivity technology provider Macheen reports that it has signed up charity Easter Seals, to help power an enterprise mobility rollout for the group. Financial impact of the deal was not disclosed. Macheen said that Easter Seals is using the company's services to help connect its field workers, using only a specific set of critical applications. Macheen's service lets companies connect only important apps on a laptop or other machine--for example, email or a CRM system--via wireless, cellular, and other networks, at a much lower cost than typical broadband and wireless services. Macheen is venture backed by Qualcomm, GemVentures, North Bridge Venture Capital, DFJ Mercury, and angels.
