Austin, Texas-based LifeSize has tied into an effort to tie together six universities through the United States through a high definition video communications project. LifeSize said earlier this week that it is collaborating with kynamatrix Research Network, and GBH Communications, to deliver a high definition project that will connect Stanford, Carnegie Mellon University, Georgia Tech, Harvard University, Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and the University of Washington. The new ResearcHDiscovery project is expected to help foster collaborative relationships and research. LifeSize is a venture backed firm that develops high definition video conferencing and communications products.
