    LibreDigital Targets Microsoft Live Books


    LibreDigital, which provides technology to book publishers, said today that it has rolled out a migration program targeting publishers using Microsoft's Live Search Books. Microsoft said Friday that it was discontinuing the service, which scanned images and text from books into digital form for search via the Internet. LibreDigital, which is a divisoin of Austin-based NewsStand, said it will offer to assist book and periodical publishers with transfering data from Microsoft into LibreDigital's internet Warehouse solution.
