Dallas-based layerX Technologies, which is developing network management software, said today that it has rolled out a new, free IT search tool it said can help administrators collect, analyze, search, and store IT event information. According to the firm, the free PUNQ (Portable Utility for Network Query) application is available both as a standalone tool as well as a component of its Arbitrator unified management solution.
