Layered Technologies Enhances Virtual Server SupportPlano-based Layered Technologies, a provider of web and server hosting services, said Thursday that it has enhanced support for virtual machines in its hosted infrastructure. According to the firm, it has extended its DEFCON managed services offering to also include management of virtual machines. The offering was previously only available to dedicated server clients. Virtual machines are used by hosting clients to host multiple PC images on a single server. Layered's DEFCON service offerings range from managing all aspects of server applications to just server monitoring. posted on Thursday, October 16, 2008
