Plano, Texas-based Layered Technologies said Monday that it has acquired FastServers.net, a Chicago-based managed hosting firm. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. FastServers.net provides managed dedicated hosting to Internet web sites. According to Layered, the acquisition brings the firm's total customer count to over 6,000 clients.
