KBR Gains Australian Firm Catalyst Interactive
Houston-based engineering and construction firm KBR announced Tuesday that it has acquired Catalyst Interactive, an Australian e-learning and training solutions provider specializing in defense, government and industry. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed. The acquisition, KBR explained, will enable it to increase its existing international training and technology solutions portfolio. KBR said Catalyst Interactive employs 35 people in the Australian cities of Canberra and Melbourne, all of whom will join KBR's Government and Infrastructure business unit. The Melbourne staffers, however, will relocate to KBR's Melbourne office. The Canberra employees will remain at their current location, KBR said.
