IMS Research Expands in Korea
Austin-based market research and analyst firm IMS Research said today that it has opened up a new office in Seoul, South Korea. The firm said the move is part of an expansion of the firm into global markets. IMS said the new office was "vital" to provide it with "deep understanding" of markets such as LEDs, Displays, Consumer Electronics, Semiconductors and PV, as well as to service its Korean clients better. The new office is headed by Harry (Sung Dong) Cho, who has formerly been an executive at Indilinx, PQI, and Samsung Semiconductor. IMS now has offices in China, KOrea, and Taiwan. The company said it is also planning to open a new office in Tokyo.
