iMapWeather Mashes Up Google, Weather Info
Fort Worth-based iMapWeather.com said this morning that it has launched a new Google Map mashup which pulls together photos, videos, and text in an interactive map. According to the site, it will allow users to share weather information within its map, and also pulls in such things as Doppler radar overlays, current weather conditions, weather-related streaming video, and more. The new site is a project of Balcom Agency and Weather Decisioning Technologies. The new site includes Twitter-like messaging functionality, tagging of data, weather forecasts, user-generated photos, and ability to embed widgets in other websites.
