Hyper9 Rolls Out Storage Software
Austin-based Hyper9, a developer of software for managing virtualized computing environments, has rolled out a new software product focused on storage. According to Hyper9, its new Storage Lens product provides visibility of storage connected to virtualized servers, including Fibre Channel, iSCSI, and NFS-based storage. the firm said the new tool provides consolidated management into multiple storage resources, including analysis of performance, storage trends, capacity issues, dependency mapping, and other features. Pricing on the new offering was not released. Hyper9 is venture backed by Venrock, Matrix Partners, Silverton Partners and Maples Investments, and is headed by Bill Kennedy.
