Hyper9 Raises New Funding

Austin-based Hyper9, a provider of virtualization management software, said Wednesday that the firm has received a strategic investment from Maples Investment. According to the firm, Maples Investments and Managing Partner Mike Maples Jr. made a strategic investment in the firm, as a complement to the firm's July 2007 Series B funding. Amount of the investment was not disclosed. Maples is the co-founder of Motive. Prior investors in the firm include Matrix Partners and Silverton Partners. Hyper9's software is used to track usage of data in virtualized servers, and to provide alerting and other capabilities to administrators. More information »
