Horizon Data Center Targets Virginia Expansion
Dallas-based Horizon Data Center is embarking on the first steps of an expansion strategy, the firm said Monday, with a plan to open up a new data center in Manassas, Virginia. The data center operator said is has partnered with Power Loft, which is developing a facility in Virginia to serve customers in the Washington, DC area. Horizon said it has the ability to scale up to 40 megawatts of capacity in Power Loft's Innovation Park location in Manassas. The firm did not say how many square feet of space it intends to deploy initially at the Virginia location. Horizon recently scored $7.5M in funding from Ballast Point Ventures for its expansion plans.
