HomeAway Turns To Crowdsourcing For Ad Effort
Austin-based HomeAway, the vacation rental marketplace operators, said this week that it is turning to the public for its next advertising effort. HomeAway--known for its Superbowl commercials--said it is giving the opportunity for two amateur filmmakers to win $7,500, by producing an ad for the firm on family vacations. The crowdsourced contest is based on the theme "Why hotel when you can HomeAway". HomeAway said the contest, being run through Poptent, will run through August 23rd.
