HomeAway Gears Up For New Super Bowl Commercial Campaign

Austin-based HomeAway is gearing up for the Super Bowl this weekend, saying it has launched a new ad campaign around the "The World's Most Customizable Commercial Ever." The firm--which had a major ad push last year with actor Chevy Chase and actress Beverly D'Angelo, as part of a spoof on National Lampoon's Vacation--said this year, it will allow viewers to insert photos of themselves, or their properties, into a commercial. The new campaign focuses on a fictional "Minister of Detourism" and the ability to put their face into a "test baby" that is featured in their advertisements.
