HID Global Buys Lumidigm

Austin-based HID Global announced this morning that it has acquired biometric fingerprint acquisition developer Lumidigm. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. Lumdigm develops multispectral, imaging technology used for biometric fingerprint sensors, particularly in harsh environments. Lumidigm was based in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and was backed by venture firms DFJ New England, Draper Fisher Jurvetson, EPIC Ventures, Fort Washington Capital Partners, Intel Capital, International Venture Fund, Methode Electronics, Motorola, New Mexico Co-Investment Partners, and Solstice Capital. Lumidigm was represented by Imperial Capital in the deal.
