GameStop Gears Up For Holidays, Will Hire 17,000 For Season

Grapevine, Texas-based video game retailer GameStop has kicked off hiring for the holiday season, saying this morning that it plans to hire approximately 17,000 employees nationwide for the busy holiday season, plus to handle the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One console launches. GameStop said it is hiring both in-store retail employees, consumer electronic technicians at its refurbishment centers, and at its warehouses. The company said the number of hires is approximately the same as it hired for the 2012 holiday season.
