GameStop Bolsters Site With Content From IGN
Grapevine-based videogame retailer GameStop said Thursday that it has tied with IGN Entertainment, the publisher of videogame content, to bolster the content on its web site. The two said they are in an exclusive, large-scale partnership which will combined content from IGN and Game Informer Magazine on GameStop's web site. Financial details of the deal were not disclosed. The deal also includes advertising placement on GameStop.com, where ads will be placed starting in the first quarter of the year. The two also said that the deal will include GameStop.com's online traffic numbers into IGN's comScore numbers.
