Mobile game developers who have been using tools from GameSalad, the Austin- and Los Angeles-based software developer, to create their iOS games, are a bit happier today, thanks to a release from GameSalad. GameSalad has launched a new iOS Universal Binary feature, which shortcuts the amount of work required to publish games on iOS. The firm said it now is shipping Universal Binaries which work on all iOS platforms, which means that developers no longer have to create separate targets to work on each of Apple's popular platforms. GameSalad's tools also develop games for Android and Windows 8. The firm is backed by Steamboat Ventures, Greycroft Partners, DFJ Mercury, DFJ Frontier, and ff Asset Management.
