Austin-based Freescale Semiconductor and automotive firm Bosch Group have tied together in a deal to target the auto market, the firms said late last night. Freescale and Bosch Group's Automotive Electronics division said the two have combined their expertise to create an automotive, airbag reference platform aimed at India and China. Freescale's 32-bit Qorivva microcontrollers have been linked with Bosch's airbag system ICs in the reference design.
