Embarcadero Rolls Out Free Development Tools

Austin-based Embarcadero Technologies, which develops software programming and development tools, said today that it has launched a new set of free, "starter edition" versions of its popular software. The company said the new, free Start Edition for Delphi and C++ Builder tools are aimed at helping users migrate their software applications to the new Microsoft Windows 10 Anniversary Update. Embarcadero said the tools allow customers to migrate to Windows 10 without having to rewrite legacy code. The company did not say what limits it has put in place for the "starter edition" versions of its titles.
