DG FastChannel, Enliven Reduce Acquisition PriceDallas-based DG FastChannel has reduced the acquisition price of Enliven Marketing Technologies to approximately $80M, the firms said, in an amended merger agreement. Reason for the reduced price was not announced; the firms had originally announced DG FastChannel would buy Enliven in a stock-for-stock transaction in May, in what was a $98M deal. Envliven will become a wholly owned subsidiary of DG FastChannel, and Harvey D. Weatherson, a current Enliven board members, will join DG FastChannel's board. DG FastChannel says it expects to realize approximately $3M in cost savings in its first full year of operation, through "elimination of duplicative corporate overhead." Enliven develops technology used for deploying online and mobile advertising campaigns. posted on Friday, September 5, 2008
