Round Rock-based Dell said late last night that it will ship its tablet PC, the Dell Streak, on Friday. Dell said its Streak will cost $299.99 with a two-year AT&T contract, or $549.99 without. The new tablet PC goes on sale on Thursday, for U.S. priority, pre-sale registrants. Dell's new streak is based on the Android operating system, and includes Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and 3G connectivity. The new device sports a 5-inch screen, which makes the device larger than a smartphone but about half the size of Apple's competing iPad.
