Dell Looks To Predict PC, Tablet Problems Early
Tired of spending hours on the phone with tech support when something goes wrong with your PC or tablet? Round Rock-based Dell said this week it has rolled out a new service which provides predictive, automated support for its PCs and tablets. Pricing on the new service was not announced, however, Dell said that it is looking to help customers spend less time on technical support calls and more quickly resolve common hardware isues. The company claims it is able to prevent issues before they occur, although the company did not detail how and what kinds of issues it might be able to manage proactively. The company had been offering the service only to enterprise customers earlier.
