Comfy Raises $1.25M

Austin-based Comfy, which helps students find housing--and also makes Unbill, an app to help those sames students split their rent and bills--has raised $1.25M in a Series A funding, the company disclosed Thursday. The funding came from ATX Seed Ventures. Comfy is led by Jordan Wright, and had created the Unbill app earlier this year to help roomates split their rent, bills, and other living expenses. The investment also included Dominion Ventures. Both ATX Seed Ventures and Dominion had been investors in Comfy's seed funding back in July of 2004, when the company raised $500,000 in funding.
