    ClearCube Spins Off Division


    Austin-based ClearCube said Tuesday that it has spun off its software business, as a new company called VDIWorks. According to ClearCube, VDIWorks will develop software management platforms for creating, deploying and managing virtual desktop infrastructure, while ClearCube will focus on desktop virtualization products. Rick Hoffman, formerly president of Clearcube, will become president of VDIworks; CTO Amir Husain, VP Professional Services Barry Hutt, and VP Marketing Susannah Kirksey also join VDIworks. Randy Printz becomes president and CEO of ClearCube, with the firm's VP Sales and Marketing, Doug Layne, and Jeana Thomas, Senior Director of Alliances and Channels.
