CipherLab said yesterday that it is in an alliance with MCL Technologies, to offer Cipherlab's portable terminals in conjunction with MCL's MCL-Collection software, which is used for barcode scanning and other applications. The two firms said that CipherLab's 9500 series of products will include pre-installed software from MCL. Cipherlab is headquartered in Taipei, Taiwan but maintains its North American operations in Plano, Texas.
