Carbon Black Merges With Bit9, Raises $38.25M

San Antonio-based Carbon Black, which develops cybersecurity tools, has merged with Massachusetts-based enterprise security software developer Bit9, the companies said Thursday. Financial terms of the merger were not disclosed. According to the companies, the deal came along with a $38.25M funding round, which was led by Atlas Ventures, and also included .406 Ventures, Highland Capital Partners, Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers and Sequoia Capital.
