Houston-based software firm BMC Software reported this morning that it has voluntarily shifted its stock exchange listing from the New York Stock Exchange to the NASDAQ Global Select Market. The firm said the move will be effective October 26th, and it will continue to maintain BMC as its Ticker signal. BMC attributed the move to more and more investors moving to electronic trading, and NASDAQ's technology and "cost-effective" services.
