Houston-based BMC Software and San Francisco CRM software firm Salesforce.com are in a deal to deploy BMC's products on Salesforce.com's Force.com cloud computing platform, the two companies said this week. According to BMC and Salesforce.com, they are in a strategic alliance to deliver BMC's It management solutions on Force.com, to deliver cloud-based service desk, self-service, and inventory management to customers. The two will co-market and co-sell the solution, which they say will be available in the second quarter of 2010. Pricing has not yet been released on the offering.
