Bigcommmerce: Back To School Shopping Drove Strong Q3 Ecommerce

Austin-based Bigcommerce said that it has launched a new quarterly Ecommerce Report, which will release quarterly sales data from small- and mid-sized merchants running its software. According to the company's first report, it saw Q3, online merchant sales increase 25 percent, year-over-year, due to what the company said was a strong back-to-school season. The company said that the strong areas of growth were in the "Lifestyle & Home" and "Computer & Electronics" areas.
