Besomebody Gets $1M To Help People Tap Into Their Passions

Austin-based Besomebody, a startup which is looking to help people tap into their passions and help people connect with others who can help bring those passions to life, disclosed that it has raised $1M in a seed funding round. The funding came from media company E.W. Scripps Company. Besomebody was founded by Kash Shaikh, and says it is looking to help the 99 percent of people who would like to follow their passions, but don't. Shaikh has previously served at such companies as Procter & Gamble and GoPro. The company says it plans to launch in Austin last this year, and then expand to other cities. More information »
