Benchmark Further Impacted By Thailand Flooding
Angleton-based Benchmark Electronics says that it has been further impacted by flooding in Thailand, after flood water breached a levee protecting its campus in the country. According to Benchmark last night, flood water breached the south side of the industrial park where it is located, and has inundated its campus. Benchmark said the flooding will have "significant impact" on its revenues and operations for the fourth quarter. Benchmark--as well as other manufacturers with operations in Thailand--have been dealing with the aftermath of record flooding in the region, the worst in a decade. The firm said last week that it had halted operations in Thailand due to the floods.
