Bazaarvoice Links With Gamification Firm Badgeville
Austin-based Bazaarvoice, the provider of ratings and review software-as-a-service, is turning to the emerging area of gamification, by tying to gamification vendor Badgeville. According to the two firms, they are in a strategic partnership, which will provide reputation and social loyalty programs to Bazaarvoice's customers. The two said the deal will help increase onsite engagement, create additional brand advocates, and reward loyal customers for their actions. Gamification uses things like badges, prizes, contests, and other socially driven features, to increase engagement and usage of web sites, services, and features. Financial details of the deal were not disclosed.
