Augmentix Rolls Out Rugged ServerAustin-based Augmentix, a developer of rugged computing systems, said Monday that it has launched a new server based on Dell's PowerEdge 1950 III server. The firm, which is venture backed by Austin Ventures, Centennial Ventures, and G-51 Capital, said the new A+1950 rugged server provides Xeon-based, 64-bit dual and quad-core processors in a 2U, rack and transit case mounted form factor. Augmentix is targeting the new server at the military, industrial, and government market.
