AT&T Expands 1Gbps Service In Austin

AT&T said today that it has completed a major speed upgrade in Austin of its fiber network, and has now moved all of its U-verse with At&T GigaPower customers to speeds of up to 1Gbps. The company said it upgraded all of its existing customers at no extra charge. The company said the boost comes due to the completion of an expansion of its fiber network in September. Those upgrades apparently cover Austin, plus parts of Bastrop, Cedar Park, Dripping Springs, Jollyville, Lakeway, Leander, Pflugerville, and Round Rock.
