Alpheus Communications Expands Houston, Dallas, And Austin Reach
Houston-based fiber network operator Alpheus Communications has made a big expansion of its fiber network, in Houston, Dallas, and Austin, the company said Monday. Alpheus Communications said it has added 2,400 "near-net" buildings to its network, which reaches an additional 14,000 businesses in Houston, Dallas, and Austin. The company said it now reaches 65,000 businesses in Texas. Alpheus said highlights of the routes include new fiber near the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, connectivity near Love Field, buildup in the areas northwest of downtown Houston on Highway 290, and growth in Austin Loop 360/Texas Capital Freeway and Bee Caves Road. Alpheus Communications did not say how much it spent on those infrastructure upgrades.
