Dallas-based Airband Communications, the provider of high speed, fixed-wireless Internet access, said today that it has added two universities to its list of customers. The firm said that Mount St. Mary's University and Stevenson University are both using its fixed-wireless data services. No details on the size of those wins was announced. Mount St. Mary's University and Stevenson University are both in Maryland. Airband said both of those schools are benefiting because they can avoid costs of local phone and cable infrastructure.
